When I finished the x5460 rig I was wondering how much of a difference there would be between that and the i7-6800k in modern games, both coupled with a gtx 1060 strix at the same clocks. The results were pretty as expected at 1080p, though 1440p was a lot closer than you would think. It mainly goes to show how far (or not so far) hardware has really come in 8 years...
