Lisa Gade reviews the iPad Air, Apple's 5th generation tablet. The iPad Air is significantly thinner and lighter than previous models and it's also lighter than competing tablets in the 10" market. The iPad Air starts at $499 for the 16 gig WiFi model and it has Apple's 9.7" Retina IPS display running at 2048 x 1536, the new A7 CPU with M7 motion co-processor and PowerVR SGX graphics. The tablet runs iOS 7 and the iLife and iWork suite are included. The 0.29" tablet weighs one pound and it has updated front and rear cameras with larger sensor pixels, dual band WiFi 802.11n with MIMO, Bluetooth 4.0 and stereo speakers.It's available in WIFi and WiFi + 4G LTE models at the same pricing as previous generation iPads.
