  • iOS 19 Early Issues Explained: Battery Drain, Heating and Camera Lag

Early adopters of iOS 19 are already sharing first impressions across tech forums and social platforms. Discussions focus mainly on battery behaviour, device warmth during charging and occasional camera lag. These observations remain preliminary and should not be considered confirmed widespread problems.

Many of these reports appear during the first days after installation, a period where background indexing and optimisation processes can temporarily affect performance. Future updates may resolve several of the concerns mentioned by users.

    Color Changes and Material Reactions

Some users claim the exterior finish may show slight discoloration after extended use. A handful of early reports mention subtle color shifts over time, though it remains unclear whether this relates to material behavior, environmental exposure, or normal wear.

    Unusual Sounds During Charging

Reports mention a faint buzzing sound near the speaker area while charging. This type of noise can sometimes be linked to normal power-circuit behavior and does not necessarily indicate a hardware fault.

Spent Real Time With the iPhone 17 Pro Max — And It’s More About Refinement Than Revolution

    iPhone 17 Pro Max

After extended real-world use, this iPhone 17 Pro Max full review shows that the iPhone 17 Pro Max doesn’t try to impress with dramatic changes — and that’s exactly what makes it interesting this year. Instead of chasing flashy upgrades, Apple focused on refining performance stability, battery efficiency, and everyday usability.

Check out my reviews and roundups of the best Android smartphones under £300 and £200 if you're looking for an even more affordable device.

It was difficult to narrow down my top 10 choices this far out in 2022. A variety of intriguing smartphones are available from manufacturers like Google, Nothing, Samsung, Xiaomi, and Realme for a mid-range asking price. Although competitors like the OnePlus Nord 2T aren't far behind, the Pixel 6a continues to offer the greatest camera performance. Recent additions like the Nothing Phone 1, which has distinctive features like wireless charging, are particularly enticing.

Although the gaming performance isn't as fantastic as the A52s from last year, the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G is still endearing, so you might be tempted to look back instead. While the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus is a bit of a mouthful, it's still a superb phone with high-end features at an affordable price. You may also purchase the Note 11 and standard Pro for less money (check out my full comparison). A favorite of mine for gaming grunt is the Poco F4.

  • Unpacked Samsung Galaxy A23 5G

This week, Samsung introduced a ton of glitzy devices, including the Galaxy A23 5G cheap phone and the Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4 bendy blowers. View my in-depth analysis of the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro and other smartwatches, as well as comprehensive unboxings and more. The rest of the kit will be available soon.

The Samsung Galaxy A23 5G had the least publicized introduction because it was absent from the Unpacked 2022 celebration. But this low-cost smartphone has some respectable features, a 50MP camera with OIS, and Snapdragon 695 brains. Because of this, the Galaxy A23 5G is a significantly more affordable option if you can't buy foldables. While the Z Fold 4 is yet another absurdly large smartphone, the Samsung Z Flip 4 is still fantastic even though it hasn't improved much. Not a single surprise.

Samsung also unveiled the new Galaxy Buds 2 Pro at Unpacked 2022, which appear to be a good alternative for audiophiles. Additionally, three new sizes of the Samsung Watch, including an incredibly pricey Pro model with a huge battery, were given to aficionados of wearable technology.
