Quality Comparison & Commentary: FRAPS vs. Camtasia Studio 8

"What is the greatest video game recording software?" This is a common question in 2012, so I thought I'd make a little video to demonstrate the differences between FRAPS and Camtasia Studio 8. FRAPS, in my opinion, does a little better job, but only by a small margin.

The game in question is Dota 2, which is now in closed beta:D.

However, keep in mind that while Camtasia has several nice features out of the box, such as simultaneous webcam recording and reduced file sizes, FRAPS is generally the way to go for the best quality and to save time if you have the proper hardware.

FRAPS produces huge files, but you can simply edit them because they are created immediately and are simple to edit with a quality application.

Ignore the last part where I got it at 60FPS because YouTube only allows 30FPS.
