Lisa Gade reviews the 15.6" Asus ROG Zephyrus S GX531GX, the very slim and light gaming laptop with a drop-down bottom plate for airflow and a forward-shifted keyboard and right side trackpad. This is the 2019 refresh with NVIDIA RTX graphics, and our model has RTX 2080 Max-Q dedicated graphics. An Intel 6 core, 45 watt 8th Gen i7-8750H processor is standard and it’s available with 16GB or 24GB DDR4 RAM. The 4.6 lb. / 2.1kg laptop is 16.1mm thick and it has a 144Hz matte IPS full HD display and zone backlit keyboard. It competes with the MSI GS65 Stealth Thin and Razer Blade 15 Advanced.
