Lisa Gade reviews the 2018 BlackBerry KEY2 Android smartphone with the usual BlackBerry software touches that are reminiscent of classic BlackBerry devices like the venerable Bold 9900. The smartphone has a hardware QWERTY keyboard and a 4.5” IPS display with a 3:2 aspect ratio. It runs Android 8.1 Oreo on the Snapdragon 660 octa-core CPU with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. It’s sold as a $649 unlocked GSM phone for use with any GSM carrier- in the US that would be AT&T and T-Mobile but not Sprint or Verizon. The phone has dual 12MP rear cameras, a front 8MP camera, NFC, CAT12 4G LTE and a 3500 mAh battery. The BlackBerry KEY2 will ship Jly 13, 2018.
