Is static electricity as dangerous as some say? Can it damage PC parts / components? Well today I decided to run some real world test to see if it can or can't and the results are a little interesting (especially the last test).

Everytime I handle computer parts there always seems to be that guy who comes in the comments with "oh man you need an anti static wriststrap noob" or "you will destroy those parts" etc. So I though I would run some tests on the $100rama and see how much is ok. As you can see I was charging myself in three different scenarios and out of the three different scenarios nothing happened.

So not that important after all, just as a safety precaution though I still recommend just touching a car or something before you build a computer.
