Escapy By Death is, according to the author, based on another map called zm_south_escape_b2 which I have never played before. I believe he turned the older map from Zombie Mod to Zombie Escape, a practice which dates from many years ago and has already resulted in a number of great maps, making them known among playersbases of both modes.

Overall, he implemented a number of choke points that, contrary to the usual standard in mapping, have great timings and actually require the human to defend as much and long as possible, rather than just being able to rush to the end and prematurely end the round with no chances for the zombies.

As a result, I recommend you try out this map when you have the chance, and it would be nice to see it more regularly in rotation.
