Shroomforest is undeniably one of the most popular maps in rotations on CS:S and CS:GO, but to think it has actually made its way to CS1.6 a well is just plain ridicilous. I've never made it a secret that I don't really like Shroomforest as whole (and all its one-hundred version, where I can't even tell which one is the most recent or most relevant one), but for Counter-Strike 1.6 the map is actually pretty cool.

Most of the features and textures are ported straight from the original, so it looks very familiar if you've played it on the other Zombie Escape Counter-Strike versions. It obviously had to remove the bossfights, although trollface still makes an appearance (but doesn't particularly damage in any way).

A cool port and definitly a welcome addition to the CS1.6 map pool!

GAMEPLAY MODE: Zombie Escape

Zombie Escape is a Source Mod that runs in CS, CS:S and CS:GO. The goal is to escape as a team (CT's) from the infected (T) that get randomly chosen each round. During the escaping attempt, random and fixed events may happen that reward special items to aid in pushing back the zombies. If the team succeeds in surviving, they win and the zombies are slayed.

If the opposite is true, all humans will become infected and all hope is lost! Make sure to bring good teamwork to the table as you'll need it to overcome some of the harder challenges such as boss battles and giant zombie hordes.
