What does Evergrande (a construction company in China) have to do with GPU prices?

Well quite a lot, since late 2020, GPUs which were traditionally used for gaming; literally became a speculative investment asset class. And since borrowed money has propped up crypto prices since that timeframe, it would be an accurate assumption to say that a massive global deleveraging event, could also cause crypto prices, and hence mining profits to drop drastically.
