I discovered this exploit today after a series of events that likely made this possible (explained below):
I was connected to and playing on a community server (Zombie Escape) where they modify the particle material files to a cheaper variant to improve performance. The default fire particles of the molotov are expensive and this is why a plugin (Part of a plugin called 'rules_of_p') on the server was designed to tell the server to use another particles file (or load different materials).
As I was playing on that server, I got an invite of a friend of mine to join a MM lobby, so I did. I got dropped off the server and put in the lobby immediatly, and proceeded to enter the game.
As we played, I bought a molotov and used it, and all of a sudden I saw it KEPT the same particle materials that were loaded in from the plugin to my game.
This poses a few problems. You might be thinking "So what... it's the molotov, what can you possibly gain from modifying the material files of that". But the SMOKE GRENADE is also made out of particles, and is also a default material in CS:GO just like the molotov. If the ones of the molotov can be changed, so can the material files of the smoke grenade.
So you guessed it, normally through this method, you can ALSO change the smoke material files to something like invisible. If this is true, then it could be exploited for use in MM.
