Another map that originates from Source, it is also themed on FFXII, following in the footsteps of Mako Reactor. Somehow, although this is one of the most popular maps to date, I've just felt that Westersand is always the little brother of Mako in both gameplay and overall level design. Mako really has that great feeling to it, while Westersand just feels like more of the same but at a lower level.

Nevertheless, it's a great map on its own and has a lot of qualities that contribute to its popularity. It is not yet as outplayed as Mako Reactor is, but then again that can hardly be any different given the time between both maps.

Materias, bossfights, lasers... it's all there like you'll find in Mako. A recommendation!
