With recent tensions rising between Japan and South Korea over a dispute for compensation of victims of warcrimes in the past, Japan has responded by removing South Korea from their 'whitelist' for exports of goods, and some of the materials in this list are crucial for the production of DDR3 and DDR4 memory.
