Lisa Gade reviews Google’s 2018 flagship Android smartphone, available in 5.5” and 6.3” sizes- the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. She focuses on the XL model for this review, but both models share the same specs other than screen size. The Pixel 3 phones are available unlocked on Google Play for use with most carriers (GSM and CDMA), and it’s also sold by Verizon and for Google’s Project Fi. It runs Android 9.0 Pie on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with 4GB RAM and your choice of 64 or 128GB storage. It has 2 front-facing cameras and a rear 12MP camera with an updated sensor. It’s IP68 water resistant, supports fast charging and wireless Qi charging, and is available in 3 colors. The Pixel 3 starts at $799 and the 3 XL starts at $899.
