I've been debating whether or not to purchase a new camera for myself, and it's easy to get lost in the details. People will debate about different brands, some will claim that only lenses matter, and someone will undoubtedly say that it's all about the light and the scene and that you shouldn't worry about gear, and that person will be annoying. So on my quest for a new camera, I set out to learn how sensors really work, how they've changed, and where they’re going.
