Apple’s AirTags are finally here, but they’re missing a crucial component of any tracker: a way to attach them to your keys. Naturally, Apple will sell you their keyring attachment for an extra 30 dollars, but that’s not your only option! In this video we discuss some other, more economical options, and show you exactly how to perform the nuclear option: drilling a keyring hole straight through your AirTag.

Things you’ll need for drilling:
1/16th drill bit (preferably carbide-tipped)
Power drill
Eye protection
Protective gloves
Marker
Something to hold the AirTag while you drill
