The HTC Vive XR Elite is a serious standalone VR headset for 2023 to rival the Meta Quest Pro, offering PCVR streaming, Viveport support and more. An unboxing and review of the HTC Vive XR Elite will hopefully follow shortly but here's the tech specs, UK price and release info.

Is this one of the best virtual reality headsets right now, vs the Cosmos Elite, Metal Quest Pro and other VR standalone devices? Let us know below!

One of the most impressive aspects of the HTC Vive XR Elite is that design. Not only is it slender and light for a powerful all-in-one VR device, but the battery pack can be replaced or removed entirely. That makes this one of the most portable headsets in 2023.

The display can pump 2k visuals at each eyeball for 4K visuals, running at 90Hz max. HTC has improved the speakers for the Vive XR Elite as well, offering greater bass and clarity (apparently).

You can stream Steam VR and PCVR content as well as mobile content, with full Viveport support on top. My review of the HTC Vive XR Elite should be coming soon, stay tuned!
