"Disingenuous" is putting it nicely -- nVidia's new GT 1030 with DDR4 is the latest in a string of poor naming choices by both GPU vendors.

This hardware news episode talks about the "new" GT 1030 with DDR4 and "new" AMD RX 500X series. At least the latter has a character added to its name. We also reference back to the GTX 1060 3GB and 6GB, the RX 560 and rebranded RX 460, and a few other things -- like the GeForce Partner Program (GPP).

Separately, the news video talks Micron building new 3D NAND fabs for 2020, NCore's V1 direct-die cooling, and Apple's alleged plans to dump Intel. The first non-GPU subject gives us an opportunity to look again at memory and SSD prices.
