Unboxing and hands-on review of the Huawei MatePad Paper e-ink tablet, featuring the bookshop, apps, performance, and other features. Although this Harmony OS eReader has more features than Amazon's Kindles, the MatePad Paper is less appealing than the Onyx Boox tablets due to a lack of file support and app availability at launch.
This Huawei choice could work well if you're looking for an e-Reader-style gadget with a large, sharp screen. On the 256 Grayscale display, graphic novels and comics look fantastic. Unfortunately, I was only able to get PDF files to work during my hands-on review time. However, some of the Huawei MatePad Paper's extra capabilities, such as split screen note taking and annotations, appeal to me. That M Pencil Stylus is awesome.
