Lisa Gade reviews the new Lenovo IdeaPad S940 (formerly called the Yoga S940, though it’s a clamshell that doesn’t yoga). This is an exceptionally thin and light premium aluminum-clad 14” laptop that weighs just 2.6 lb / 1.2 kg and is 12.2mm thick. It competes with the Dell XPS 13 and MacBook Air, but offers a bit larger display. Speaking of displays, the 500 nit 4K UHD IPS display option is stunning. The Ultrabook runs Windows 10 on Intel 8th gen Whiskey Lake quad core, 15 watt CPUs with a fast NVMe SSD and Thunderbolt 3. It has a Windows Hello IR camera and Glance eye tracking (similar to Tobii) for a potential productivity boost.
