Lisa Gade looks at the updated Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Ultrabook at CES 2014. This is the refreshed model with a thinner and lighter design, updated buttonless trackpad, improved IPS displays and a new keyboard strip that's context aware. The X1 Carbon has a 14" touchscreen and there's a 2560 x 1440 option. The 2.8 lb. machine starts at $1,199 and it runs on Intel Haswell 4th gen Core i5 and i7 U series CPUs with Intel HD 4400 graphics. It's available with up to 8 gigs of RAM and uses SSD storage. It can run up to 8 hours on a charge and has Lenovo's rapid charging technology. As ever with ThinkPads, it has a durable build. The laptop has both HDMI and a mini DisplayPort and 2 USB 3.0 ports.
