Lisa Gade reviews the Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 14 convertible Ultrabook. This is an interesting 2-in-1 with the same design as the original ThinkPad Yoga, but it has a larger 14” full HD display and switchable NVIDIA GT 840M 2 GB graphics. The Yoga 14 has the Lift and Lock keyboard that locks the keys down when in tablet and presentation modes, and it’s the usual excellent ThinkPad keyboard with backlit, tactile keys that have good travel. The laptop runs on a 1.7GHz Intel Core i5-4210U CPU with 8 gigs of RAM, a 16 gig caching solid state drive and a 1 TB hard drive. It has a very good 1920 x 1080 IPS display that has 10 points of multitouch (but there’s no pen option as with the 12.5” original ThinkPad Yoga). The 4.2 lb. (1.9 kg) Yoga 14 has dual band WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0, 3 USB ports, HDMI and an SD card slot. It’s available direct from Lenovo or via Best Buy for $1,099.
