Microsoft’s Head of Xbox Phil Spencer confirmed that his company had purchased Mojang, the Swedish game developer behind the mega-hit Minecraft. Shortly afterward, Notch, the game’s creator, announced that he would be leaving the company he founded as soon as the deal was finalized. Mojang said the total sum for the sale is $2.5 Billion.
