***Update - this motherboard has stopped working after 2 weeks of usage**** I am not sure if this is because of a a faulty part or a bad design, but thought I would let you guys know**** You can check out what happened to it in more detail here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4CXb6J4fZ50.

I am now using an ASRock Extreme6 which works perfectly, the UD4 I had also had random bios crashing problems...

The MSI X99s is an interesting motherboard, coming in at one of the best prices for an X99 motherboard you would expect it to just be barebones, however it surprisingly comes with everything that I need it to have, and then some. Today I will be reviewing the X99S motherboard from MSI (SLI Plus edition).

Honestly I was pretty impressed with this motherboard when I first pulled it out of the box and using it for over a week now I can honestly say that it handles the 5820k perfectly. Great motherboard. The only real negative is the clumping of the first 2 pcie 16x slots, everything else is bliss on this motherboard, plus it looks amazing (though looks is a personal things, the clean black look reminds of a boxy gtr r32 for example)..
