Lisa Gade reviews the Barnes & Noble Nook HD. This is Barnes & Noble's latest color LCD eBook reader and tablet. It has a very good 7" 1440 x 900 IPS display that's quite bright, a dual core OMAP 1.3GHZ CPU and 8 or 16 gigs of storage. it's an ePUB eBook reader that works with B&N eBooks/magazines/newspapers, Google Books, Sony Reader Books and Library books but not Amazon Kindle eBooks. It has single band WiFi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth. It also has a music player and video player for B&N video rentals/purchase and locally stored MPEG4 H.264 video and a microSD card slot. It runs a heavily skinned version of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
