Long-term assessment of the Samsung Galaxy S21 before the debut of the new S22 flagship smartphone in early 2022. Here's a look at the Samsung S21's One UI 4.0 experience, as well as how it compares to big Android rivals like the Pixel 6.
This tiniest of Galaxy phones has recently received an update to Android 12 with One UI 4 feature changes and updates. As you'll see in my comprehensive review and tips guide, it's a successful software upgrade, boosting the camera, personalization, and other features.
However, Samsung's upgrade did not improve the Galaxy S21's mediocre battery life or its juddery gaming performance when pushed hard. With the exception of the lack of microSD and headphone jack functionality, I have few concerns regarding the S21 one year later. To be fair, these are standard criticisms about premium smartphones.



The camera's results aren't as impressive.
