No longer content to be a flagship killer with mid-range specs, OnePlus has stepped up their game (and their prices) to compete head-to-head with 2020 flagship smartphones. The one thousand dollar OnePlus 8 Pro checks a lot of boxes: a bright, high-resolution 120Hz display, the newest Qualcomm 865 processor, and an array of cameras chock full of questionably useful features. To top it all off, it’s capable of wireless charging at 30 watts—faster than most phones charge with a cable. Let’s tear it down and see if we’ve gotten any interesting repairability upgrades with this price hike.
