*****THIS VIDEO IS DATED*** I HAVE A NEW VIDEO HERE - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mF9hF9GNL6Y this was my old workflow and wasn't using much effects at all. Here is a comparison of OpenCL vs CUDA in Sony Vegas 13, I also decided to test Premiere pro since the CPU only won in Vegas 13, and to my surprise CUDA acceleration didn't show much of a difference in Premiere Pro as well. So the verdict seems to be that the gaming graphics card don't do as well as originally thought (at least what I initially thought anyone) and having a really good CPU and / or a pro series GPU would probably make things better.

In ways this can also be seen as a comparison between Sony VegasPro 13 and Premiere Pro CS6 as well, though there wasn't much difference between the two (both rendered the 4:38 second video near the 5 minute mark).\
