In our Headline News segment, the potential TV-disrupting Aereo is in front of the Supreme Court and the Court appears conflicted over the case. Aereo allows users to rent a OTA antenna that will capture broadcast television channels. Aereo then transmits these channels over the Internet to your home for $8-$10 a month. This could be a way for people that can't get good broadcast reception to get "free" channels. Problem is, broadcasters want Aereo to pay the same retransmission fees that cable companies pay.

Also in the news, HBO and Amazon are teaming up to offer programming for Amazon Prime Instant Video. To be clear -- Amazon Prime users are not getting free access to HBO Go. The programming available will be older shows that have ended and they will be available for free to Prime subscribers. Time to see if The Sopranos holds up after all these years. We can tell you that The Wire in fact does.
