Amazing to think, but Pokemon first launched in Japan 25 years ago. The series has continued to grow and expand for a quarter century, through dozens of games, TV shows, movies, and a trading-card game whose popularity is still growing. Pokemon has also become a way into RPG fandom for a legion of fans who get there first taste of gaining experience and stat points through the series.
