Six months later, we're reviewing Google's Pixel 5 flagship smartphone, and it's still one of the best camera phones in 2021, even if it falls short in other regions.
This is still one of my favorite small Android phones, and it's ideal for photographers.
Even if it can handle gaming right now, the Pixel 5 can't match the output of some blowers half the price.

The battery life is excellent, and I rarely run out of power before going to bed. If you're going to be playing PubG or Skyping/Zooming with friends a lot, you'll probably run out of juice before nightfall.

If the camera is all that matters to you, you can always save money and get the Pixel 4a 5G, which has the same hardware.
This flagship smartphone is more durable and water resistant, and it also supports wireless charging, but the cheaper Pixels can still take great photos and videos.

Nonetheless, the Pixel 5 is a delightfully small device, and Android 11 has been kept up to date with daily updates. You also have a couple of years of security and OS updates ahead of you.
