The 5th generation iPad Air is Apple's midrange 10.9" tablet, which will be refreshed in 2022. The Apple M1 processor, optional 5G, Center Stage support, and enhanced USB-C speeds are all included in the latest model. The Air sports a wide gamut P3 IPS display with Apple Pencil 2 support, fairly narrow bezels, Touch ID in the side power button, dual speakers, and a 20 watt charger in the package, and it starts at $599. It works with the same keyboards, casings, and docks as the previous generation model. The Air is the sweet spot for consumers searching for a low-cost iPad with a high-resolution display, future-proof chipset, and optional 5G.
