Lisa Gade reviews the Samsung ATIV Book 9 Spin, Samsung’s first Ultrabook with a 360 degree hinge. The 13.3” Spin looks much like the ATIV Book 9 and Series 9 laptops that came before it, and that’s a good thing because these are gorgeous unibody die cut metal laptops. This is a high end Windows 10 Ultrabook with the 6th generation Skylake 2.5 GHz Intel Core i7-6500U, 8 gigs of RAM and a 256 gig M.2 SSD.

At 0.59" thick, it's one of the slimmest notebooks on the market and it’s quite light for a 2-in-1 convertible at 2.87 lbs. The ATIV has a 3200 x 1800 PLS touch screen with wide color gamut, an ample selection of ports and very good 2 watt stereo speakers. It sells for $1,299- $1,399 and it competes with the Lenovo Yoga 900, HP Spectre x360 and conventional laptops like the Dell XPS 13.
