For 2021, Samsung's third-generation folding phone that transforms into a 7.6-inch tablet, the Galaxy Z Fold 3, becomes somewhat more inexpensive and much more robust. Samsung claims that the Fold 3's inner display is 80 percent stronger and 29 percent brighter, while the 6.2" outer display runs at 120Hz, just as the inner display. In all markets, it runs Android 11 with One UI 3.1 and is powered by a Snapdragon 888 processor. It's now IPX8 water resistant, and it works with the Wacom EMR Fold version of the S Pen to appeal to Galaxy Note aficionados, note takers, and artists. The phone supports 5G, including mmWave, and is available from all major carriers unlocked. It boasts five cameras, including a selfie camera built into the display.
