Lisa Gade reviews the Sony Xperia ZL Android smartphone. This is the slightly more affordable sibling to the Xperia Z and they feature the same internals and 5" full HD display. The Xperia ZL loses the waterproof design and glass back, and it instead has a plastic back. Still there are things we like better about the ZL like the dedicated camera button, more accessible ports and LTE that works in the US (depending on the version you buy). The phone runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean on a 1.5GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 CPU with 2 gigs of RAM and 16 gigs of storage. It has a microSD card slot and the same excellent rear 13MP camera as the Xperia Z. Our import model came from http://www.tekshop.us where it sells for US $556 (non-LTE model).
