The Motorola Moto Defy tough-phone debut and the Chinese unveiling of the Honor 50 Series are among this week's top tech stories (including a Pro model). We also got to see Beats' new Studio Buds truly wireless earbuds, and I've been'reviewing' the Ticwatch E3 (it's a prototype model, so it won't be available in stores). Oh, and Oppo and OnePlus are said to be merging, with much speculation (but little facts) surrounding the topic
Although the specs are low and it still runs Android 10, the Motorola Defy 2021 version is one of the most durable smartphones available. If you want sexy, gleaming luxury electronics, the Honor 50 and Honor 50 Pro, which appear strikingly similar to the incoming Huawei P50, are worth a look. These handsets will be available in the UK soon; stay tuned for a complete unpacking and review!
At £179 UK, the Ticwatch E3 is a less expensive alternative to the Ticwatch 3 Pro. You get the Snapdragon Wear 4100 chipset as well as all of the standard functions, such as SPO2 tracking for 24 hours and Google Pay support. For a little less, you can acquire the new Beats Studio Buds, which appear to be fantastic value, however ANC earbuds will be cheaper in 2021.
