Unboxing the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G, a mid-range smartphone that has the same camera technology as last year's superb A52s but with 'improved' performance and battery life. Unfortunately, as my gaming test demonstrates, the Samsung A53 isn't quite what it seems.

Instead of a Snapdragon, you've got an Exynos 1280, which appears to be a step backwards in terms of gaming performance. The Galaxy A53 5G suffered mightily with Genshin Impact, but it handled lighter games like Call of Duty Mobile admirably. With a larger 5000mAh cell inside, however, battery life may be improved.
