Ford in the UK recently announced the launch of its Intelligent Speed Limiter technology, which aims to prevent drivers from accidently driving over the speed limit, claiming that many speed tickets are a result of unintentional speeding. A camera mounted onto a car's windscreen will read speed limit signs on the road, and the car will use its engine's torque to slow you down rather than activating the brakes.
