Xbox Live had a brief service outage last night that hints at a possible attack planned over Christmas. According to Polygon, Microsoft hasn't commented on the short outage, which gave Xbox 360 and Xbox One users error messages about their Xbox Live profiles not being downloaded. A group called Lizard Squad on Twitter claimed responsibility for the outage, saying it was a test run for a hacking attack.
