Mobile payment processing company Square has opened pre-orders for an iOS plug-in device that will accept payments from chip-and-pin cards. Now, you may have seen Square card readers before—they're little white blocks that plug into an iPhone or an iPad's headphone jack, and lets businesses swipe your credit card without an expensive point-of-sale system. Businesses loved Square because the company made it extremely easy and cheap to start accepting credit card payments by giving its card reader away for free.
