Atlanta-based Sarvint Technologies has filed complaints against pretty much every company making smart clothing. Sarvint alleges it holds two patents that essentially don't allow anyone else to make shirts or sports bras that use fibers or threads that can pick up biosignals, such as heart rate and respiration rate. If the alleged offenders are asked to take their products off the market, it would have seriously detrimental effects on the wearable technologies market.
