Should I use an optical mouse or a laser mouse? Hey everyone, I got a quick request from Queenbooker as to why her mouse is playing up. I hope this answers your questions and let me know if you have any questions of your own.
Basically the laser mouse is overall definitely a more versatile (it works on almost any surface) mouse, but on a good surface designed for both mouses there really shouldn't be much (if any) difference between the two. So you may need to just get a new mouse pad that is non-reflective or get a new mouse altogether that is laser :), its up to you what you intend to use it for!
