What is the best value for money bokeh lens? Well I think i have found the answer to that question here today with the YongNuo 50mm f1.8 lens. Essentially this is touted as being a nifty 50 knock off lens (that is the Canon f1.8 50mm prime), however when looking at reviews and photos of that lens I found the bokeh to be quite disgusting and decided after seeing a few reviews of this lens that I would give it a shot, and boy when I got this thing in was I surprised, the lens is pretty damn sharp, a little soft at 1.8 though stopping it down to f4 shows that it can produce really crisp images.
However the selling point of this lens is quite simply the bokeh that you will get when you stop it down to f1.8. It simply is beautiful and looks fantastic on b-roll.

Though be careful if you are using this for sports and for rolling video (where the subject is not static) as the autofocus is quite slow and is a little noisy. I forgot to mention but the manual focus ring isn't too bad.
