Whilst Bear Tales is somewhat similar to the popular trend of the past few years where larger maps are somewhat troll-related (particularly the theme), it's actually a nicely refind Zombie Escape map despite its appearance. Surely there are weird NPC's like the cookie monsters, odd styling with the Christmas cartoony theme and of course the weird boss characters (I mean, a flesh eating plant, really?). However, under the surface there is decent gameplay with balanced timings, choke points and some form of branching paths.

Perhaps the only thing that could be improved is the difficulty curve between levels 2 and three, as they seem virtually the same. In fact, the skeleton pirate could very well be easier than the plant, or at least a lot more predictable. Other than that, it's a great new addition to the mappool, being original in its own right.
