Today I will be taking a look at the StonyEdge's simple lav microphone solution by doing a shootout of this mic against other Lav mics I have here (the noyceone and the sony ECM-CS3) on both the Canon EOS M onboard ADC and the Zoom H1.

Though honestly if you can't watch the video then I would recommend looking somewhere for a lav mic, as this one just does not simply perform as well as the other mics I have here, especially since this one needs a big volume boost (over 10db) to catch the sensitivity of the other 2 lav mics I have here (especially since this microphone comes in at $49.95).

I was also surprised at how well the Zoom H1's X Y mics performed, they were very very clear especially vs the other Lav mics and vs the onboard canon audio adc solution.
