Lisa Gade reviews the Apple Watch Series 4, also available with 4G LTE. The watch is available in aluminum and stainless steel finishes in two sizes: 40mm and 44mm. The OLED display is 15% larger than previous models thanks to smaller bezels, without making the watch larger—in fact it’s 0.7mm thinner. The Series 4 is compatible with existing Apple Watch bands and come with a wireless charger. It ships with watchOS 5, and new features include a forthcoming EKG module, low as well as high heart rate monitoring and notifications, a fall sensor with optional emergency services alert and Walkie Talkie voice conversations with other Apple Watch owners. The 40mm aluminum model starts at $399 and unlocked LTE 4G adds $100 (service typically costs $10/month with carriers). The watch is waterproof and swim-friendly. It is compatible only with iPhones. Apple will continue to sell the Series 3 at a discounted price starting at $279 and $379 with LTE.
