  • Top 10 Best Mid-Range Smartphones for Summer 2022, According to Reviews!

Reviewing the top mid-range Android smartphones for the summer of 2022 that can be purchased for about £400 and have the greatest camera technology, gaming performance, and other features. From Samsung's Galaxy A53 5G and Xiaomi's Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus to the Pixel 6a and Nothing Phone 1, (plus the Poco F4). These are my top picks for mid-range, reasonably priced phones available in the UK!

Check out my reviews and roundups of the best Android smartphones under £300 and £200 if you're looking for an even more affordable device.

It was difficult to narrow down my top 10 choices this far out in 2022. A variety of intriguing smartphones are available from manufacturers like Google, Nothing, Samsung, Xiaomi, and Realme for a mid-range asking price. Although competitors like the OnePlus Nord 2T aren't far behind, the Pixel 6a continues to offer the greatest camera performance. Recent additions like the Nothing Phone 1, which has distinctive features like wireless charging, are particularly enticing.

Although the gaming performance isn't as fantastic as the A52s from last year, the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G is still endearing, so you might be tempted to look back instead. While the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus is a bit of a mouthful, it's still a superb phone with high-end features at an affordable price. You may also purchase the Note 11 and standard Pro for less money (check out my full comparison). A favorite of mine for gaming grunt is the Poco F4.

It's also worth taking a closer look at Realme's superb GT Master Edition and 9 Pro Plus models. Which among the numerous do you personally prefer?

  • Unpacked Samsung Galaxy A23 5G

This week, Samsung introduced a ton of glitzy devices, including the Galaxy A23 5G cheap phone and the Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4 bendy blowers. View my in-depth analysis of the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro and other smartwatches, as well as comprehensive unboxings and more. The rest of the kit will be available soon.

The Samsung Galaxy A23 5G had the least publicized introduction because it was absent from the Unpacked 2022 celebration. But this low-cost smartphone has some respectable features, a 50MP camera with OIS, and Snapdragon 695 brains. Because of this, the Galaxy A23 5G is a significantly more affordable option if you can't buy foldables. While the Z Fold 4 is yet another absurdly large smartphone, the Samsung Z Flip 4 is still fantastic even though it hasn't improved much. Not a single surprise.

Samsung also unveiled the new Galaxy Buds 2 Pro at Unpacked 2022, which appear to be a good alternative for audiophiles. Additionally, three new sizes of the Samsung Watch, including an incredibly pricey Pro model with a huge battery, were given to aficionados of wearable technology.

  • Reviewing the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked launch event news, including the phones to expect (Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4)

Reviewing the information from the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked launch event, including the Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4 phones, as well as the watches, headphones, and other accessories. You can reserve some or all of the new Galaxy gear right away to receive a discount when the pre-orders go live, with no commitment, for Samsung Unpacked on August 10, 2022, at 2PM UK time. Here is a referral link to Samsung's website, complete with information:

Although the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 don't appear to have seen significant development from last year's versions, Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 performance is to be expected. This should result in longer battery life, while Samsung's hinge technology has apparently also been enhanced. These smartphones won't be inexpensive, notably the Galaxy Z Fold 4. Expect to see the new Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro, both of which reportedly have better battery life. And ideally, audiophiles will adore the Samsung Buds Pro 2.

Keep checking back for my unboxing and hands-on reviews as we get closer to Unpacked 2022 for all the details!

Additionally this week, Qualcomm unveiled its brand-new W5 Gen 1 chipsets for Wear OS wearables. It may sound like a lot of nerdy geek hoopla, but hopefully it means that your next Wear OS watch won't malfunction within a day. Hooray!

Let us know your thoughts on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 and all the other launch shenanigans down below. No Tech Spurt Weekly next week sadly, but we'll be back the week after so please leave your comments as always!

  • When contrasting Samsung's Galaxy A53 5G, Google's Pixel 6a, the Nothing Phone 1, and each other,

Testing the best mid-range smartphone for photography quality, gaming, battery life, and more in 2022 by contrasting Google's Pixel 6a with the Nothing Phone 1, Samsung's Galaxy A53 5G, and more! It's a difficult decision, as I've used the Pixel 6a, Nothing Phone 1, and Samsung A53 as my primary phones (full review of Google's mobile coming soon). Personally, I'd choose a Pixel, but every smartphone has benefits and problems of its own.

This trio uses extremely different hardware for their cameras. While the Pixel 6a and Nothing Phone 1 take photographs that appear to be as natural as possible, Samsung's Galaxy A53 tends to make colors stand out. The A53, with its constrained Exynos chipset, shouldn't be your first pick if you're a gamer. For Genshin Impact enthusiasts, Carl Pei's smartphone—which functions well under pressure—is actually the finest option. On the other hand, battery life isn't that great.

The Nothing Phone 1 is the most expensive phone in this comparison thanks to its Gorilla Glass back and aluminum frame. However, unlike the Pixel 6a and Galaxy A53 5G, it is not water resistant. All three of the mid-range smartphones provide an OLED display, albeit the Google model is regrettably limited to 60Hz. You also get a dual speaker system.

Which smartphone is your favorite, then? Comment below and let us know!

  • Summer 2022's Top 10 Reviewed Best Cheap Phones Under £300

reviewing the top 10 most affordable smartphones you can buy in 2022 for less than £300 in the UK. Here are my top picks for low- to mid-range priced smartphones when it comes to camera technology, gaming performance, battery life, and more. These smartphones, which range from the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G and Realme 9 to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro and Poco X4, provide good value for your money.

One of the top mobile device producers in 2022 for low pricing is still Xiaomi. For under £300, the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G has arrived in the UK and excels in almost every way. Apart from a few peculiarities with the camera (such the absence of 4K video capture), there isn't much to criticize. Providing you don't mind MiUI,

The Realme 9 may not have 5G connectivity, but it more than makes up for it with potent media capabilities and a long battery life. I also like the OnePlus Nord CE 2 because it has many of the same benefits, such as a respectable battery life and a solid camera. Be aware that the CE 2 Lite model does not have an OLED display or lightning-fast charging.

Then again, if you'd want a stock Android experience, there are Motorola's affordable phones. Hopefully a review of the Moto G82 will be available shortly! Although the Samsung Galaxy A32 5G is a decent smartphone with OneUI and reliable security tools for this low asking price.
