Get an awesome and cheap pair of headphones here - http://amzn.to/2hhXjI8
Hey guys bryaneasy here, Wondering how to eliminate, reduce or completely fix that microphone static noise (im on a razer headset called the carcharias with win 7 64 bit with onboardsound realtek ALC898) but don't want to buy any more gear other than your headset and onboard sound? Well I learning all the ins and outs at the moment and learning tech related things is ahobby of mine, so I tweaked around with my computer to get the best possible recording without using any software enchancers (noise reduction etc.)
So anyway here are the steps and I hope this helps you guys! and you found it interesting, if you have any questions please let me know!
1) Disable and unplug sound devices you are not using
2) Reduce the mic volume to 15 (or keep it a bit higher if people can't hear you)
3) Reduce your output volume to 1 while you are recording (if doing commentaries if not CHANGE your heatset to your front audio port and use your rear for recording).
4) If you can move your graphics card to the furthest slot to the bottom of the case.
5) Lift your computer off the floor if it is on carpet.
6) Ground your PSU
7) Ground your mini jacks before plugging them into the computer.
8) UPDATE AUDIO DRIVERS IF YOU HAVEN'T
9) Subscribe and smile (if you haven't :P)
