Lisa Gade reviews the latest Android smartphone from OnePlus, the OnePlus 3T. This is an improved version of the OnePlus 3 that was released just 6 months ago. The price has gone up to $439, but you’re getting a faster CPU, bigger battery, higher resolution front camera and higher capacity storage options for that $40 price increase. The phone runs Android 6.01 Marshmallow with OnePlus’ OxygenOS customizations on the 2.35 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 CPU with 6 gigs of RAM and your choice of 64 or 128 gigs of storage. It has a slim and elegant aluminum unibody design available in gunmetal and soft gold.

The 3T’s full HD AMOLED display is bright and colorful and it’s covered with Gorilla Glass 4 that curves at the edges. The phone has LTE 4G and the US version works on GSM carriers like AT&T and T-Mobile (but not CDMA carriers like Sprint and Verizon). It’s unlocked for use with any carrier’s SIM and it has two nano SIM card slots. The OnePlus 3T has dual band WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, GPS with GLONASS and NFC. It has front and rear 16MP cameras with f/2.0 lens. It supports Dash fast charging and has a 3,400 mAh battery. The 3T replaces the OnePlus 3.
