LG announced yesterday that it'll be launching a new line of 4K HDTVs which will incorporate Quantum Dot technology at CES next January. Quantum dots may sound like they'll take you to a 4th dimension, but it's really a technology that uses microscopic crystals measuring between 2 and 10 nanometers to produce a brighter picture with an extremely wide color gamut and even more accurate colors than OLED technology, which is already brilliant.
